Meet the Pro

Galen Le Cheminant

Galen Le Cheminant moved to Charleston after heading up the Concourse Athletic Club in Atlanta. Galen and his wife, Claire, are originally from England. He grew up in the south west of England, namely Bath and his wife in the Midlands region. They have a daughter, Amy, who turned 10 in August.

Galen has been playing squash for 37 years and played/coached professionally for many years in Germany and England. He played in the English National League, German Bundesliga as well as The English County and Local Leagues. He has managed a handful of squash clubs in England and managed two teams in the English National League which hosts some of the world’s best players. He has coached many players from beginners to professionals and some who have reached the World’s Top 10.

Achievements since being in the USA at Concourse Athletic Club

  • Directed the first Atlanta Junior Silver Tournament in the South, October 2012
  • Directed the second Georgia Junior Silver Tournament in the South February 2013
  • Added two National Junior Bronze events to the calendar creating 4 junior events
  • Directed the Georgia Cup National Adult Skill Level Tournament
  • Organizer of 5 national sanctioned events yearly
  • Organized two Professional Exhibition Matches at CAC
  • Competed Grand Masters Squash 40+ – Winner
  • Competed Grand Masters Squash Open – Finalist
  • SDA player first year world ranked #42 only played two events to date
  • Competed Piedmont Driving Club Invitational Squash Open – Finalist
  • Competed Piedmont Driving Club Invitational Pro-Am Hardball doubles – Finalist
  • Competed Dragon Doc Pro Invitational – 3rd Place
